Malcolm S. Buntrock, was born at 22 Wood Street, Chelmsford, Essex in 1939, son of Morris George Buntrock (1915-1986), a bus washer, and his wife Henrietta Florence née Knight (1916-1994), who married at West Ham in 1936.

Malcolm studied at St Martins School of Art, London school of Printing & Graphic Arts and at Wimbledon College of Art and worked in advertising and graphic design and was Creative Director on his retirement. Since moving to Suffolk has published a large range of greeting cards and drew regularly for the ‘East Anglian Daily Times Saturday Sketchbook’.

He married in Suffolk in 1984, Kathryn J. Oliver and lived at Haughley Green, Stowmarket, Suffolk. He has exhibited at the John Peel Centre and The Maxwell Chandley Gallery in Haughley, which was set up after money was bequeathed to the village church, and Malcolm Buntrock was the curator from 2014.
